*Waves* Hi, I'm Des. I do reviews of Tokusatsu an live action adaptations of media, Roleplaying video games, and whatever fits my fancy. Expository introduction video is expository.Anyways, I just started my fourth season of reviewing stuff, and I"ll link you all that video to check out with a description: Tokusatsu in review: Travelers, Dimension Police: Season 4 starts off with a Movie directed by Koichi Sakamoto…that fails at even being typical Japanese fanservice one would expect from a movie described as a “Supercharged sexy action thriller”, despite starring Nao nagasawa and Ayumi Kinoshita.
How do you do that?

.Hack//Retrospective: .hack//G.U. Redemption part 1The final Entry in the .Hack//G.U. game Trilogy opens with why the hell we should even still care about Ovan as more than a villain after all he has done, while Atoli gains some closure over the incident in Moon Tree. Also: More Roots Bashing. Because it deserves it.

Tokusatsu In Review: Denji Sentai Megaranger Part 5Megaranger concludes with the Nejiranger’s fall, Hinelar creating his own planned community, and a final arc with a shift that comes straight out of freaking nowhere. I really don't believe it was foreshadowed at any point before this, at least.

RPG Hell: Mass Effect 2 Part 2In the second segment we reunite with old allies and find new ones, in the pits of the den called Omega. What was the Alpha in this relationship, Or Did Aria have them Sucked out into Space? She’s kind of intimidatingly cool like that.

.Hack//Retrospective: the G.U. Novels ( Part 1) ( Part 2) Shinta goes over the canon and noncanon written entries to The Gu run of the .hack series. See the beginnings of Alkaid’s empress-ship in Alcor, the story of Midori in Cell, The alternate takes of Mainline events to G.U.+ and Gnu, and hit up parody Mode with a surprisingly moving moment with .hack//4Koma! …There are a lot of .hack//G.U.-related novels.

.Hack//Retrospective: .Hack//G.U. TrilogyThe GU sect of the .hack franchise closes with…a theatrical feature? Can a 90 minute movie possibly reduce an 80 HOUR long trio of games into a competent narrative representative of it’s content and core story elements while adding something original? Is this a legitimately good Movie adaptation of a Video game?

Tokusatsu in Review: Kamen Rider Ryuki Part 1The First rider war? More like a Writer war, as Shinta explores the Third Heisei Rider series, and the only collaborative story to date between Toshiki Inoue and the infamous Yasuko Kobayashi. …It didn’t turn out well.

Tokusatsu in review: Kamen Rider Ryuki: Episode Final"Toshiki Inoue showcases how HE would have done Ryuki’s ending months before the show would approach that end, as we witness the life and death for the first Official female kamen Rider. Why is this the tradition carried over from Tackle’s Existence?"Tokusatsu in Review: Kamen Rider Ryuki: 13 Riders"A rehash of the show’s entire story put in an hour or less? And stuff every rider in the series into it at that? How could one possibly do that with any chance of success? The answer: They didn’t desire success."

Tokusatsu in review: Kamen Rider Ryuki part 4How do you make people like a series less? Add an annoying Ditz, an Angry Scientist, and Tokusatsu’s answer to Superboy Prime, while teasing at the answers to your show’s big questions after they’ve begun to unravel….which are never revealed.
